Ordovician deposit.

Site of ichnofossils (traces of organisms, in this case "worms") from the Ordovician period. Located in the Cerro de San Sebastián. Of great palaeontological...

Located on the crest of the Cerro de San Sebastián, just a few metres from the town of Puertollano. From this site you can enjoy the views and its palaeontological wealth. Some 450 million years ago Puertollano was a sea, where you could find animals such as Daedalus, a kind of worm that lived in the mud and sand of the shallower areas, or trilobites that lived approximately 270 million years ago. The route is full of ichnites (fossil footprints) that have been preserved from the activity of these Paleozoic living beings. A spectacular route for lovers of fossils and geology.
