García Rodero Museum
Museum space located in the old town hall, inaugurated in 1923 and built in neo-Renaissance style. and built in neo-Renaissance style. In the 1950s and 1960s, it began to fall into disuse until into disuse until 1989, when work began on the refurbishment of the building by the Escuela Taller the Workshop School to convert it into a Municipal Museum. Between 2004 and 2009 a series of works began to provide it with more space. The façade won the Europa Nostra" European award for heritage conservation in 2009. For a time it was the Municipal Dance School and Municipal Museum. In 2018 it became the Cristina García Rodero Museum, dedicated to the figure of the world-famous photographer from Puertollano. Cristina García Rodero is a photographer who shows great expressiveness. Currently, part of the museum is dedicated to the permanent exhibition, made up of snapshots from her collections "España Oculta", "Rituales en Haití" or "Lalibela", offering us a close look at beliefs and traditions from different cultures and times. On the other hand, there are temporary exhibitions temporary exhibitions of different cultural manifestations.
