Hornazo Day
A tradition in which families and friends go out to the countryside or take part in celebrations to enjoy this traditional sweet (the hornazo).
Hornazo Day is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter Sunday. This custom used to consist of going out to the countryside to eat Hornazo. The origin of this festivity is linked to the celebrations of Easter and the spring equinox, dates related to the birth of life. The hornazo is a sweet cake with sugar and a boiled egg on top.
Chorizo Day
Tradition celebrated on 23 February consisting of the tasting of chorizo sausage, usually with its bun.
