To the south of the Fuente Agria and within the Botanical Garden that was designed for the spa, there was a small square that was originally called the Glorieta de Don Emilio Porras, named after the mayor of Puertollano at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. In the centre of this square there were four small figures of lions looking to the south.
lions looking at a fountain, made of Talavera ceramics. At this time it took the name of the Fountain of the Lions, although later, in 1955, this ornamentation was removed and replaced by a fountain in the centre of which was a sculpture of a child holding a fish. The population began to call it the Fountain of the Pissing Boy, although this was erroneous. In the 80's of the 20th century, a new remodelling of the Paseo de San Gregorio recreated the original Fountain of the lions,
The original Fountain of the Lions from the early 20th century was recreated and four small ceramic lions from Talavera were placed in the centre of the square, surrounded by benches also made of Talavera ceramics. Finally, a final remodelling changed the ornamentation of the square once again, although the lions were kept, but this time they were made of bronze and in full size.
