Minero Monument

The sculpture represents a miner and is the work of the sculptor Pepe Noja. It was unveiled on 26 February 1983 on a promontory at the foot of the Cerro de Santa Ana, with funds from a public collection and a contribution from the Town Hall. The 9-metre high bronze sculpture, in the "neo-realist" style, has become one of the symbols of the town. At its feet there is a viewpoint from which we have impressive views of the city and its surroundings.
