Former industrial complex linked to the mining industry. It was in operation until 1975, and housed the Central Workshops, a Power Station, the Central Washing Plant and the Bituminous Shale Distillation facilities. The power station dates from 1917 and was extended in 1920. It is a unique architectural work, combining classical and traditional forms with the most advanced technological equipment, built for the French-owned Peñarroya Mining and Metallurgical Company.
